To illustrate Napolean Hill’s point in the above-mentioned quotation, consider the new transportation vehicles such as trains, motor vehicles and planes that were invented as a result of the knowledge, accurate articulation and application of the science and mathematical structures that underpinned the laws that governed and enabled the industrial revolution. These new transportation vehicles gave those who controlled and owned the motorised vehicles an unfair competitive advantage over those who owned and controlled the horse-and-cart vehicles, which were the primary form of land-transportation vehicles that existed at the time.
So, even though the horse-and-cart transportation vehicles were at one time an acceptable solution to land-transportation problems, as soon as more scientifically superior solutions were invented and accessible, the previously acceptable horse-and-cart solution was no longer acceptable. Therefore, the horse-and-cart operators were forced to either evolve or go out of business.
